what can I submit?

You can submit written letters, photography and original artwork to our bi-annual, themed anthology.

should I use the prompts?

your letter must fit the current theme and respond to one of the six prompts in order to be considered for publication.

what can I submit?

You can submit your work to submit.missivemag@gmail.com with the subject line 'issue two submission'

will my work be edited?

Your piece may be provided with light edits and grammatical corrections, if deemed necessary.

will I be paid?

Unfortunately, we are unable to pay our contributors at this time, though we hope to do so in the future.

how should I submit multiple works?

Please submit each piece as a separate document, if possible. these documents can all be included in the same email.

can I expect feedback on rejected submissions?

Sadly, we cannot offer individual feedback at this time. 

are submissions open to international contributors?

Of course! All submissions are welcome, as long as they are written in English.

will you consider work that has been previously published?

We will accept previously published material so long as it features on a personal blog or social media page. Work that has been published elsewhere will not be accepted.

what should I do if need accessibility adjustments?

If there is anything we can do to make the submission or application process more accessible, please contact us.

Rights: By submitting to missive mag, if accepted, you grant us first electronic rights and non-exclusive archival rights. All submissions remain the intellectual property of the artist. Rights revert back to the author upon publication. Authors retain copyright and will be credited on every occasion.
